Lori Bayn

Lori Henderson-Bayn is a formally trained artist and educator holding a BFA and MEd from SVSU and MSU, respectively. Her artwork has been showcased in juried exhibitions at regional, state, and national levels. Currently, she is focusing on exhibiting in galleries across both Michigan and Florida.

Lori possesses a multifaceted connection with her art and chosen materials. The themes explored in her work stem from a profound concern for our relationship and interconnectedness with the natural world. Woven into this central theme is a frequent reflection upon earlier times when humanity appeared to hold greater reverence for and lived in closer harmony with nature.

Accomplished across various media, Lori fluidly moves between drawing, painting, photography, and ceramics to realize her artistic vision. She finds immense satisfaction in originality and the application of techniques from the Old Masters to craft distinctive new artworks.

Lori is an avid music lover who will often use this deep appreciation to add another dimension to her work. Look at the titles, you will often find a song associated.

Lori's work is found in collections in the US, Canada and Europe.
