Robert Rokita

My background includes a BFA from Saginaw Valley State University, pottery instructor and Ceramic lab technician for Midland Center for the Arts and running a small business in the automotive industry. Around 2017, I left the automotive industry and set up a home based pottery studio and started selling my pottery at a few local art shows. This year while selling at the Saginaw Old Town Art Fair, I was fortunate to receive the “2025 Best in Show” This was my second time I was award Best in Show for this art fair.

Dreamscape clay studio was created back in 2019 as the results of my desire to share with others my enthusiasm towards creating and making potter. My inspiration for creating my pottery pieces comes from two places. The first is the adventures, challenges and excitement associated with the whole constantly evolving pottery process. The second comes from the heartfelt feedback from passionate customers. One example being this quote from a customer that texted me the following day after purchasing one of my mugs.
”I just had the most amazing experience this morning drinking my every day morning tea out of the mug that I purchased from you yesterday.” “Thank you for that” What joy to be able to enrich someone’s life while doing something that your passionate about.
